Wow! Time Flies.....

So Max is going on 3 months already and I can hardly believe it! It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. He has been doing so well and has been on a schedule pretty much since day one! :-) He has been sleeping in his crib in the nursery now for 2 weeks and done fantasic. Both him & Jack are down each night by 8:00 p.m. and mommy and daddy are enjoying some alone time together, finally! :-) He sleeps from 8 p.m. till 2:00 a.m. and then back down and up again around 7:00 a.m. with Jackson. It really has worked out wonderful for me sleep wise! The crazy thing that has taken me by surprise has been the baby blues, yuk!! I never would have thought I would suffer from this but I guess it can effect anyone and everyone! Max is such a great baby too, that's why I'm so shocked. I think it's just knowing I have 2 to take care of now and that Jackson is 3. Need I say more??? All in all, I am starting to feel much better and have a better outlook on my situation. It's really hard not having my family(my mom & sisters especially!) here in Virginia to help when I need them, but I have to say thank god for Zach's mom, sister and my really great friends here in VA. They all have been really supportive and willing to help. I just need to ask!!!! ;-) Most importantly I need to thank my husband for always being my rock and keeping me grounded!!

Pajama Day!

Well this week has been a yucky week in the Shea House. Everyone has a cold, including little Max! My heart goes out to him because, you can tell he doesn't feel good but he can't say "Hey mom, I don't feel good!" Jackson is just now getting over his cough and was back at school. Today was Pajama Day! They got to take their favorite teddy bear and made cinnamon toast and drank hot chocolate!! Yummy!!! :-) Here are a few pictures of the bear cave they got to climb through. I guess Jackson was afraid of going to the bear cave at first, he thought there was a real bear in there!! That's my Jackson always soooooo cautious!

Snow Day!

Well we finally got snow here in VA!! Jackson was so excited, he could hardly wait to get outside!! We got close to 3 inches and it stayed all day! That's a 1st for us, usually by noon it is all melted! Of course schools were all closed and all the kids in our neighborhood were out enjoying the snow!

Our 4th Anniversary!

So, January 14th Zach and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary. Not too mention it was also Zach's 32 nd Birthday, so we had lots to celebrate! :-) Well, as you can see Zach totally floored me with a tattoo on his arm that says "Heather"! I was so surprised, I had no idea at all he was doing this! I guess he's stuck with me now! I love it and my Zachary!! :-)

I can Breathe.....& Sleep!!

Well, as in my last posting Max is now 2 months old and he's really falling quite nicely into a great schedule! He's been going down for the night around 9:00 p.m. and waking to feed at 3:00 a.m., then again at 7:00 a.m. I don't know how I do it, but both my boys are great sleepers! I think it's genetic because my mom said us girls were good sleepers and my husband was as a little guy too! He's such an easy baby, and he's finally laughing and cooing especially at Jackson. His face just lights up when he hears his voice. I just took a ton of pictures this morning and got some really great shots of the 2 of them together and Jackson making Max laugh. Priceless!! For those of you I spoke to a couple of weeks ago when things were kinda crazy here, and I said I may be done. Well, don't count number 3 out just yet! I love these kids so much, I can't imagine stopping now!! I need to try for that little girl since I'm really out numbered here! :-)

Max is 2 months old!

Well today was Max's 2 month check-up. He weighed in at 12 lbs 4 oz., and a whopping 22.5 inches long! The Doctor said he looks great! The only bad part about it was he needed to have his shots and that's never easy for a parent! He took them like a champ and has been nursing the tylenol every 4 hours and sleeping all afternoon.

Today also was a special day for my sister Sally & her husband Mike. They found out they are expecting a baby girl in May! We are so excited to have a little girl to add to the mix of boys! She'll be a strong little one with all these boys around her. I can't wait to hold my niece! :-)

Look who's teething!!

So Max is turning 2 months on the 7th and he's already trying to cut teeth!! Jackson had his first tooth at 3 months and looks like Max may as well! My kids start early apparently, lucky for us! :-) Thank god for a little tylenol and baby orajel. We go for our 2 month check up on Thursday and we'll see just how big Max is. My guess is over 10 lbs!

Jackson started school again this week and he was so excited to see his friends and teachers! This month they will have a pajama party and get to bring a stuffed animal to school with them. It will consist of pj's, listening to their teacher read them some great stories and of course some hot chocolate! Doesn't that sound like a fun day! :-)

Well I hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Year! More to come in the next couple weeks!

Shea Family

Well, here it is 2008 and what year 2007 was for us! I thought that since everyone was starting to have this blog thing that I might as well start one too! I figure this is a great way I can keep everybody posted on the lastest and greatest things happening in the Shea Virginia household! Max is now going on two months and man I have to say that if every baby was like Max I would have a football team of them! (Of coarse you would need to throw a cheerleader in the mix as well!!) He is the best baby! Smiles all the time and just loves to hear his big brothers voice! And the way Jackson talks all the time, that's not to hard to miss! Then of coarse Jackson just loves babies, any baby but obviously loves his brother. He has been so gentle with him, it's fun to watch. As for mom and dad, well we are doing the best we can. It's a little different with 2 little ones, not a hole lotta alone time but we are making the best of it! :-)
