Bald Head Island

So we just got back from a wonderful vacation on Bald Head Island. The weather was perfect and the house we stayed in was great! Zach's Mom, sister Leah her 2 kids and our crew had plenty of room to spread out for the week! Bald Head Island is off the shore of Southport, NC. You take a ferry boat over to the Island and there are no cars, just golf carts! Jackson and Wyeth really enjoyed the golf carts! It's really a great place for families!! All the kids enjoyed the ocean. Jackson loved it from the moment we got there! Daddy brought the kayak too but, Jackson wouldn't go since Wyeth didn't want anything to do with it! Jackson was spending every moment he could with his cousin Wyeth, Daddy came second this trip! Max was pretty funny too, at first he didn't like the feel of the sand but loved the waves. By day two, he loved the sand and the ocean! He just wants to go like the big kids, he gets so frustrated that he's not able too, just yet!!! ;-) We cut our vacation a couple days short due to Grandma Smith becoming ill and all of us wanted to get back home to be with her! Thank God, she's a fighter and is doing much better today than yesterday! She's responding to her medication and hopefully will be coming home in a few days! These next couple of weeks are pretty busy for all of us! Jackson starts school this Wednesday. He has new teachers and a whole new set of friends to get familiar with! Then it's off to MI for my sister Sara's wedding! We are really looking forward to this event and spending time with family & friends in MI!
