So we started the weekend off sick again! Jackson and I both were running fevers so I made us Dr.s appt.s on Saturday and sure enough Jackson's blood count was low. This meant we needed to get in touch with our specialist at UVA. With Jackson's condition you can always tell when he's run down, he gets real pale, yellow eyes and often says he's cold. So we got ahold of our Specialist and of course they needed to see him. So I'm sick with an upper respitory infection, feeling really crummy and because I'm nursing I can't leave, this meant I needed to stay home with Max & Daddy was going to take Jackson and head up to UVA for the night. So as a mother I felt horrible not going with my little boy but it had to be this way. Jackson knew he was in care with Daddy by his side!! So once they arrived at UVA, Jackson's temp had soared to 102.8 and was really not feeling well. After may tests they realized the best option for Jack was to have another blood transfusion. This will be his 3rd in his 3 short years. Zach said he did really well, considering they have such a hard time finding a vein in Jackson and it takes a good 3-4 times being poked before they get it. But they did and the transfusion took place while he slept. By morning, his blood count was back up to were it needs to be and he seemed to be feeling better Zach said. Now our next step is talking with our specialist and determining when to do surgery. We meet with them in 2 weeks and we'll go from there. For now, Jackson seems to be feeling better and getting his energy back. Here are some pic's I took of the boys together. It was really quite around here without Jackson and I think Max really missed hearing his big brothers voice! I'll keep everyone posted on his condition, but for now please keep him in your prayers! Thank you! :-)

It sure it's easy not being able to be there for our little ones. I have been sick all weekend so I haven't beeen able to see Andre. It's killing me! The poking for IV's is aweful to watch for us mom's. I know that with how many Andre needed it was sometime 3-4 times a day if they didn't take. Andre has also need 3 tranfusions since he was born. I will keep Jackson and all of you in my prayers. If you need to talk please call me. Take care of you!!
Love you,
Christa
