So we headed to UVA on Thursday to meet with Jackson's Specialist regarding his spherosytosis, and he thinks he's doing well. The risks are still far greater to take his spleen any earlier than the age of 6 so for now we just may be transfusing him when ever he seems to get a virus that causes a fever. I guess you can be transfused once a month if need be (I never knew that!). We are hoping that this last blood transfusion will get him through the summer-less illness in the summer months! Plus with us leaving for Florida on Thursday, hopefully the sun shine will do us all some good!! :-) Jackson's growing like a weed, skinny as ever but getting really tall. He weighs 31 lbs and is 40 inches tall! He is so excited about Disney world! He is really into the pirates right now so I can't wait to get him his pirate gear!! :-) I'll be sure to post lots of pic's when we return! I just know it's going to be a great vacation!
