Our Trip to MI

So this past weekend, Max and I traveled to MI while Daddy & Jack had some one on one bonding here in VA! The weekend was a great success on both ends! This was the first time I have ever been away for any great length from Jackson and him and I both did well. I missed him terribly, but he was having so much fun here with Dad that he hardly noticed I was gone!!! I don't know if I should be happy about this or sad that my little boy is growing and no longer needs mom all the time!!! :-) When Max and I returned home, Jack was standing at the door waiting as I pulled into the driveway. It was the best feeling in the world to have my little man run up and give me a big hug and kiss, saying "Mommy I missed you!!!" I couldn't hold back the tears!! I missed both my little man & Zach so much!!!

Max and I were in MI for my sister Sara and her fiancee Dave's Bridal Shower. It was a beautiful Shower and we got to see lots of family and friends! We all are looking forward to their big Day in September! Sara had to kiss a few frogs to find her Prince, but man did she ever find her prince!!! I am so happy to call Dave my Brother-in-law. I could not be happier for the both of them! :-) Also while I was there I got to meet my niece Audrey! She is absolutly beautiful! People say she reminds them of me as a baby, but I see her mama & daddy quite a bit! I wish I could have spent more time with her, but the time I did I will treasure. She seems to be very content during the day-sleeping all the time then at night she's got colic. As you can imagine this makes for a stressful time for both Sally & Mike, but I have to say they are handling it better than I think I ever could. It's so neat to see my sister as a mom and how comfortable she is with it. Not to leave Mike out, he's already a great dad, they both love Audrey more than life itself!!! :-) She's a very lucky little girl surrounded by allot of love!!
